Here's some information you might find useful if you're just starting out roleplaying on a Proboards site.
Generally, all PB RP forums take place in one universe with an established canon. Locations are separated into different boards, and threads taking place in those locations are posted in their proper boards for organizational purposes. FTG follows Splatoon's canon, but there are events that take place after the end of the single player campaign. You can read about it here. If you're familiar with Splatoon's story and you've read the plot of FTG, you know all that you need to know.
Where do I begin?
Start by making a character. You'll find the application here and you'll need to post it here in the pending board. When it's finished, I'll review it and likely accept. If you're looking to make a canon character rather than an OC, be sure to check if that character is available.
My character is accepted, now what?
Now you can either post a new thread with your shiny new character, or reply to an existing one. If the thread has a tag like [Open] or something similar in the title, it means it's open for anyone to join. Otherwise if a user's name is in the title, it means it's only for that user or group of users to join.
How gritty will this get/rating?
About at gritty as Splatoon itself is. So family friendly, though Nintendo games always sneak in dark undertones.
Are custom weapons / mismatching subs / special / main weapons allowed?
At this point in time, no. But I would like to implement a custom weapon option in the shop, either as a prize given out for events or costing around $100 (equivalent of 20 IC posts).
Can I make an Agent 3 character or other agent?
It's undecided at this time, but at some point I am going to let someone make an Agent 3.
How does rule enforcement work?
One or two warnings if needed, and then banning if absolutely necessary. In general I'm going to be pretty lenient.
How are RP scenarios spanning multiple settings handled?
Users can either create a new thread or disregard the setting change and keep RPing in the same thread. The thread location reflects starting location.
How will turf wars and ranked battles work?
That's up for suggestion at the moment.
How about other forms of fighting?
Fights like fistfights or other scuffles (while they should still be mostly kid-friendly) should be played out along these lines.
